Unjust Termination - Common Law - Inducement
Sometimes, an employee who is not looking for another position, while happily and securely employed in long term employment, may be approached by an employer who wishes to hire that employee away. Sometime later, after inducing that employee to leave, the new employer terminates that employee's employment. In such cases, the courts will probably give the induced employee at least part of the benefit of the prior period of service.
