Unjust Termination - Statutory - Non-Federally Regulated - Reinstatement

In most cases, no matter how unfair the dismissal is, a non-unionized employee does not have any prospect for reinstatement and the types of compensation available are subject to many restrictions.

However, there are statutory exceptions which on the right facts will entitle employees to reinstatement and additional forms of compensation on any of the following grounds:

Parental Leave

Human Rights - Unlawful Discrimination

Unsafe Workplace

Retaliation against employees for attempting to enforce minimum standards under the Employment Standards Act

Obligation to workers injured in the workplace

Reprisals due to unionizing activity
