Unjust Termination - Common Law - Position With Employer
Although there have been rare exceptions, most courts do not recognize equality among different classes of terminated employees. If you are a bank president, your notice will be likely to be lengthier than if you are in an entry level position (assuming that the other principally relevant factors, i.e. length of service and age are the same). The courts state that the justification for this is that it takes more time for the employee higher up in the corporate hierarchy to find another position.
